The objective of the eCONSULT+ project is to understand how doctors collaborate with AI-powered voice analysis during teleconsultations. We analyze interactions between doctors, patients, and an AI technology (e.g., AI technologies identifying vocal biomarkers), with a particular focus on trust, interaction processes, and the integration of algorithm-generated data into clinical reasoning. Based on a multimodal analysis of doctor/AI/patient interactions, we aim to:
- Describe doctor/AI/patient interactions that take place during teleconsultations using AI-powered voice analysis.
- Understand how the data generated by an AI technologies identifying vocal biomarkers supports (or not) clinical reasoning and diagnosis.
- Identify the learning needs to be leveraged to enable doctors to use the data and predictions generated by AI technologies wisely to support their clinical diagnosis.
Project in partnership with Virtuosis AI. The collaboration focuses on enhancing primary care teleconsultations to improve early detection of Parkinson’s disease using AI-powered voice analysis.
